Animal Kid's Camp
Freelance Designer
April, 2020 - May, 2020
I matched with the Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center (MSRPAC) through the website CatchaFire, a site that matches volunteers with organizations that need their professional help.

This organization runs a summer camp for kids named "Animal Kid's Camp" and were in need of a rebrand for their existing logo. They wanted the new logo to feature more colors and be geared towards kids. The goal of the new logo was to generate more excitement and engagement in the camp.
Original Logo
The original logo provided featured green and yellow as the main colors, and the client provided a list of features they wanted to see incorporated into the revised logo. The client liked the badge-shape, but were open to other designs. They also wanted to incorporate the same wording if possible, as well as the cat and dog imagery, to represent the animals featured heavily in the Kid's Camp. While green and yellow were the main colors provided in this logo, the MSRPAC style guide actually featured blue, orange, yellow, and red varients as the main colors for the organization.
First Round Revisions
I started with two revisions of the original logo in the first round. Each of these logos added colors from the organization's style guide, but kept many of the same elements of the original logo. The main difference between these two logos was the shape. The first one I kept in the same badge-shape design, while the second one, I created a circular shape with elements layered ontop. This allowed the client to see both visions and make a choice of the direction they wanted the rebrand to go.
Second Round Revisions
After the client and I agreed that the circular shape provided the best look moving forward, I digitally produced this logo in many variations of the same color scheme to help me decide on what looked best and accomplished the organization's objectives for this project. After seeing these all laid out, I decided that #4 was the logo to proceed with.
Final Revision
The #4 logo was used to produce the final version of the logo for the client. The only real change I made to this logo was curving the banner along the bottom of the logo. I felt this added good depth and balance, and made the logo feel like a badge a kid would want to earn at this camp.

"Joshua was great to work with! He took the vague ideas of what I wanted and turned it into a wonderful logo. I highly recommend working with Josh if you get the chance. He is professional, creative, and is willing to work with you until the project is right."
